It looks instant, but every search reads and scores hundreds of real job ads against your CV, the kind of shortlist a recruiter charges hundreds for. That costs us about 23 cents a search all in: the machine it runs on, the electricity to keep it awake, the internet connection, and the domain. No ads, no data selling, just those cents and the occasional coffee keeping it online.

About sixty percent of it is the AI reading and scoring your jobs, though that varies with how much text the listings carry. The rest keeps Rolefit online around the clock, whether anyone is searching or not: the machine, the electricity, the connection, and the domain. That part is a fixed daily cost, so the busier Rolefit gets, the less each search has to carry.

Rolefit is built and paid for by one person. There’s a small daily limit so it stays sustainable, and if it’s saved you time, buying a coffee keeps it online for the next person.

Two numbers on your report, labelled differently on purpose. The cost is measured: it is what the AI actually billed for your search, across every step including reading your CV. The electricity is estimated, worked out from how much text the AI processed rather than a flat average. Treat it as a rough figure: the published measurements it rests on vary by roughly ten times.

Your privacy
